Bible Review: ESV Heirloom Single Column Personal Size

I am huge fan of the personal size Bibles. The ESV Heirloom Single Column Personal Size is ideal for those of you who love a sturdy, small Bible. The goatskin cover is really nice. If you like a Bible that has a cover that will last, this is it! The paper is a little thin so if you like to highlight it will bleedthrough. I love to write in my Bible. The only disadvantage I see is the bleedthrough. Highlights and pen marks show more than I would like. Aside from that, the binding seems quite firm.

Here is a list of features this Bible offers (taken from the Crossway website):

Features

  • High-quality Bible paper designed to reduce show-through and make the words of Scripture as readable as possible
  • Premium goatskin cover
  • Art gilding
  • Wide margins
  • Just over 1″ thick
  • Line matching
  • Full-color maps
  • Smyth-sewn binding
  • Single-column format
  • Lifetime guarantee
  • Packaging: Box

I am a big fan of the two ribbon marker, especially when it comes to preaching and teaching. For me the font is a great size. But what I love most about this Bible is the color and the cover. It’s a dark blue goatskin that will last a lifetime. I can see having this Bible for many years to come! So, if you are a fan of the small personal size Bibles this is one you will want to get!

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher in exchange for a fair, honest review. You can purchase a copy from Crossway’s website.
